Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected when you use the ALVEM mobile application (the "App"), how that data is used, who it is shared with, and what rights you have. By using the App, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Data We Collect

1.1. Information you provide

Account information: Email address and password (your password is stored only in encrypted/hashed form by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store it as plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile information from your Google account.
Astrological profile data: Name/nickname, birth date, birth time, birth place (city), and the corresponding geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude). This data is required to calculate your birth chart and astrological readings.
Mood and journal entries: The mood, feelings, and (optional) personal notes you log daily in the App.
Chat content: Messages you send to the "Cosmic Guide" AI assistant.

1.2. Automatically collected information

Usage and app data: Token balance, premium subscription status, session counts, and in-app interaction logs.
Device and technical data: A push notification token for your device (Firebase Cloud Messaging), used to deliver notifications, and technical identifiers required for the service to function.
Purchase information: In-app purchases are processed via Google Play Billing; a purchase token is sent to our server for verification. We never see or store your credit card or payment details — these are handled by Google.

2. How We Use Your Data

To generate your birth chart, daily/monthly astrological readings, and personalized content.
To produce AI-powered interpretations and chat responses.
To manage your account, authenticate you, and maintain your session.
To operate the premium subscription and token system, and to verify purchases.
To send push notifications, if you've allowed them.
To improve the service, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.

3. AI Processing

Astrological readings and chat responses are generated server-side using a third-party AI service. To generate a reading, your birth data, mood entries, and chat messages may be sent to this service. This processing is limited to generating the reading.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data for advertising or marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with the following service providers (data processors), which are necessary for the App to function:

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We may also be required to share data with authorities where legally obligated to do so (e.g. a court order).

5. Advertising

The App may use Google AdMob to display third-party ads. AdMob may process data such as device identifiers to serve and measure interest-based ads. You can manage ad personalization from your device's Google settings. Learn more about how Google uses data in advertising here.

5.1 Tracking Permission (iOS — App Tracking Transparency)

On iOS, the first time you open the App we ask for your permission to access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). This permission is used solely to show you more relevant ads.

If you decline, the App keeps working exactly as before; only the ads you see become non-personalized. No feature is disabled.
Whether you allow or decline, your birth details, chats and charts are NEVER used for advertising and are never shared with ad networks.
You can change your decision at any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

The domains ad networks reach under this permission are declared in the App's privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy); if you decline, tracking requests to those domains are blocked by the operating system.

6. Data Retention and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers within Google Firebase's infrastructure. Sensitive fields in your account document (premium status, token balance, etc.) are protected server-side and cannot be modified by the client. We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service.

7. Your Rights and Account Deletion

At any time, you can:

View and update your profile information from within the App.
Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, either from in-app settings or by contacting ema.studios.app@gmail.com. Your account and data will be deleted within a reasonable time after your request.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your data under applicable law (e.g. Turkey's KVKK, and the EU GDPR where applicable).

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from users under that age. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes in the App or on this page. The effective date of the current version is shown at the top of the page.
